COMPETITION’S THEME 

 

Jakarta as the capital city of Indonesia has various activities on it.

In regard to Healthy Lifestyle, HARRIS Hotel & Conventions Kelapa Gading Jakarta wants to show the pleasure of doing sports activities and to open the eyes of the guests to see the inner beauty of being healthy.
Since BW Photo Hunt competition's purpose is to capture the beauty of places in Jakarta, we want you to join us and showcase your photographic talents by capturing "Sport Through the Lens”

 

TERMS & CONDITIONS

  1. Open for public, Indonesian Citizen, from 20 years old

  2. Participants must submit the copy of the ID card during online registration

  3. This competition is "Digital Competition" with "Sport Through the Lens" as the theme

  4. Every participant is required to follow rules and regulations

  5. Every participant must register through the website at: www.whatsupharris.com the online registration is open from Wednesday, April 1st 2020 and will be closed on Tuesday, April 14th 2020

  6. Every participant are required to follow rules and regulation

  7. Participants will not be charged for the registration fee and all expenses during photo taking is the participant’s responsibility

  8. All participants have to fill up a registration form and agree with the terms and conditions

  9. Participants will send maximum 3 of their best photos to www.whatsupharris.com with the file naming format: Name_Photo Title_ID Card Number

  10. Participants can display the results of their edited photos on Instagram using #imatharris, #HarrisPhotoHunt, #sportthroughthelens and follow Instagram account @harrisklpgading

  11. The committee has the right to disqualify participants that violated the rules and regulation

  12. All verdicts made by committee and judges are absolute

  13. HARRIS Hotel & Conventions Kelapa Gading Jakarta has the rights to edit and use the photographs according to the HARRIS Brand Concept for purposes of publication and exhibition

  14. The photos are received by the committee will not be returned

  15.  ‘Model and Property Release' is the responsibility of participants and the committee is not responsible if later there is a lawsuit by a third party of the object image

  16. 20 selected photos will be displayed on an exhibition which will be held during relaunching HARRIS Hotel & Conventions Kelapa Gading

  17. 20 selected photos will be informed by electronic mail (e-mail), website www.whatsupharris.com, and instagram @HARRISklpgading

  18. 20 nominees must attend the hotel opening ceremony for the winners announcement 

  19. There will be 4 judges that consist of 2 professional photographers and 2 Internal judges (TAUZIA & hotel/owner representative):

  • Fernando Gomulya – Professional Photographer

  • Lioe Tjin Fa - Lecturer in Photography at Tarumanagara University

  • Julien Lutgen - General Manager

  • Jean Pierre Serfaty – Corporate Director of Operation Jakarta and West Java

 

PARTICIPANTS

  1. The participants in this Photo Hunt Competition are for those who are registered through whatsupharris.com, link bio Instagram and Facebook @HARRISklpgading account.

  2. Participants may use any type of digital camera to shoot photographs.

 

PHOTO ARTWORK

1.  Photographs are to be submitted in digital form / soft copy

2.  Photographs should not nuance racism, sadism, or pornograph.

3.  Photographs must reflect on HARRIS Brand personality

4.  Photographs must be taken on the period of the competition

5.  Participants who submit a photo that was taken on other times than on the period of the competition will be disqualified

6.  Participants must make sure the date setting on the camera is according to the date requested.

7.  Photographs have to be in black and white and in JPEG large fine format. Photos that did not follow the required format will be disqualified

     without notice.

8.  The committee will check for the authenticity of the photos

9.  Any editing process is allowed but limited to these techniques :

  • Dodging

  • Burning

  • Level/Curve

  • Brightness & Contrast

  • Channel Mixer

10. Photographs will be judged based on :

  • Artistic Merit

  • Originality

  • Subject

  • Style

  • Respect for Terms & Conditions

11.  Photo format : 

  • High resolution in original & edited digital file 

  • minimum 2000 px wide @300dpi

  • JPEG file

  • No watermark added

PHOTO SUBMISSION

  1. The participants are required to submit their photos within the prescribed time limit

  2. Each participant can submit max. 3 photographs

  3. Photographs submitted must be original file and black & white, in JPEG Fine (High resolution)

  4. Files collected should be written as follows: Filename : Name_Phototitle_ID Card Number. Eg: Rendy_Sky above town_12345678910

  5. Participants must fill out the submission form  by completing the data as follows: Name, mobile number, email address and ID Card photos

  6. The photo submission must be done by the participant, no proxies allowed

  7. Each participant must have backup data files.

 

PRIZES

1st Winner          :  Cash Rp.   10.000.000,-

2nd Winner        :  Cash Rp.   8.000.000,-

3rd Winner         :  Cash Rp.   5.000.000,-

Runner Up 1-3   :  Cash @Rp. 1.000.000,-

14 Nominees     :  Cash @Rp. 500.000,-

(5% Prize tax will be charged to the winner based on government regulation)
